We sustained it okay, I think :) Really excited about "The Believer"! It's cool when a debut song winds up being as tight as some of the ones we've been playing for 2 years... felt great to get it out there! And everybody should be excited about the new stuff... Grace's aforementioned new song, and our first crack at adapting one of mine for the full band. Coming to a cafe/bar/club near you! New stuff, new stuff, new stuuuuuuff! Seeing other independent musicians' live shows is so important and you are an avid appreciator. Thanks for grounding us in reverence of the cause and for bringing to the table every influence from the real players- the local musicians who are working just like us to bring something new and meaningful to the Bay Area. It is not only comfortable and stylish, but it also helps me connect with other people who have such great taste in music. Here's an example.....I was just walking across the UC Berkeley campus when all of a sudden I hear, "yeah!! way to go Grace Woods Trio!!" from a girl walking by. I yelled back, "Yes!! she is my cousin!" She enthusiastically responded, "She's my friend's sister!" We were both in a rush to get to our destinations in opposite directions and didn't get to discuss the coincidence further, but it was nonetheless a wonderful encounter....all made possible by my GWT tshirt. Thank you Grace Woods Trio, and thank you unknown GWT fan. It's great to be part of such a warm community :) I look forward to seeing you again soon.
